WHAT'S HAPPENING: The Bank of Canada announces BoC Interest Rate Decision. If the bank is hawkish about the economy's inflationary outlook and raises the interest rate, it is positive (bullish) for the CAD. If the BoC is dovish about the Canadian economy and keeps or cuts the ongoing interest rate, it is bearish for the CAD.
